Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College (FAAMC) is the fifth government medical college of Assam located at Barpeta. The town is surrounded by scenic landscapes, agricultural fields, and water bodies. The institution was established in the year 2011. It was named after Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, the fifth President of India, who hailed from Assam.
